Kimberly Deas graduated from the University of Akron with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and minors in math, computer sciences and chemistry. She started her career as a systems control engineer and then quickly moving into software development, and on to starting her own marketing company. She expanded the company from the US into Europe where she lived for 7 years. She grew her start-up to a multi-million dollar business in over 20 countries, before moving back to the US in 2007.
In 2007 Kim became a professional speaker and trainer and toured the US training on business management, sales, marketing, and soft skills like dealing with difficult people and managing emotions.
She went on to develop and write custom training courses and record over 100 training online webinar courses for small businesses up to Fortune 50 companies.
In 2012, Kim leveraged her extensive knowledge of business marketing and business operations to launch her career in business brokering. She saw an opportunity to provide a more professional services and partnered with Murphy Business and Financial Services.
Shortly after joining Murphy Business, Kim was hired to design, produce and coordinate an online training program for business brokers. This program has 23 courses and over 188 chapters. Today the course she created is required training for every business broker that joins Murphy Business and Financial Services.
In 2014, Kim became a franchise owner with Murphy Business and Financial Services and has been a trainer at their annual conference since 2014.
Kim has earned the prestigious Board Certified Intermediary (BCI) designation and the Million Dollar Plus Award in 2014, 2015, 2016.
Kim is passionate about working with small business owners and serves on the Florida leadership board of National Federation of Independent Business Owners (NFIB) where she regularly goes to Tallahassee and Washington DC to give small business owners a voice.
Kim has been named a top 50 business influencer by Advantage Magazine and is regularly quoted a business sales expert by the Times Union and Business Journal. She has also been interviewed by Buzz TV as well.
